Baking has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. What started as a childhood fascination with watching cakes rise in the oven has evolved into a lifelong passion and career.

Growing up in Melbourne, I was surrounded by diverse culinary influences. The city's vibrant food scene, from European patisseries to Asian bakeries, shaped my palate and approach to baking. I believe in honouring traditional techniques while embracing creativity and personal expression.

The Great Australian Bake Off

Competing on the Great Australian Bake Off was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. The pressure, the camaraderie, the late nights perfecting my signature bakes. It pushed me to grow as a baker in ways I never imagined.

Winning the competition wasn't just about the title. It was validation that years of dedication, countless failed experiments, and an unwavering love for the craft had led somewhere meaningful. It opened doors and gave me the confidence to pursue baking as more than just a hobby.

Chez Arv Cakes & Desserts

After the show, I founded Chez Arv Cakes & Desserts, a home baking business based in Melbourne. Here, I create custom cakes and desserts for special occasions, always with the same attention to detail and quality that I'd bring to a competition showstopper.

Every creation is made from scratch using quality ingredients. I believe that great baking is about more than just following recipes. It's about understanding your ingredients, respecting the process, and baking with intention.
